Basketball Recap: Faith Lutheran Takes a Loss

Faith Lutheran was the 67-51 winner over Green Valley when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Faith Lutheran Crusaders were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 54-53 to the Green Valley Gators. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Green Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lamarcus Carter led the charge by putting up 11 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Da?Quan Brown, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 20 points.

Faith Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Green Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Faith Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 74-27 victory against Sunrise Mountain on the 17th. As for Green Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-54 win against Valley on the 16th.
