Baseball Game Preview: Morgan City Tigers vs. David Thibodaux Bulldogs

The Morgan City Tigers will head out to square off against the David Thibodaux Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Morgan City is looking for their season's first victory.

Morgan City came up into this matchup off a tough eight-run defeat on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of St. James by a score of 7-5 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since April 11, 2024.

Bryce Solar made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Noah Guarisco also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, David Thibodaux was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (11-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

David Thibodaux now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Morgan City, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Morgan City skirted past David Thibodaux 8-7 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Morgan City since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
