Volleyball Recap: Skutt Catholic SkyHawks vs. Gross Catholic Cougars
If Gross Catholic wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Skutt Catholic, they should've done a better job of containing Marin Brummund. The SkyHawks blew past the Cougars 3-0 on Tuesday thanks in part to Brummund, who had 20 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Skutt Catholic took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-9, 25-11.
Skutt Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maggie McMahon, who had three digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Stevens, who had 16 assists.
