Football Game Recap: Swampscott vs. Saugus

Not only did Swampscott outplay Saugus on Friday, but the squad kept Saugus off the scoreboard altogether. Swampscott put a hurting on Saugus to the tune of 42-0. Followers of Swampscott probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.

The victory makes it two in a row for Swampscott and bumps their record up to 6-1. Saugus' loss pushes them down to 2-5.

After their action against one another, the teams are leaving the conference to test themselves against outside opponents. Swampscott will square off against Marblehead at 10:00 AM in five weeks. Saugus will have some time to rest before their next match, which is against Peabody Veterans Memorial in five weeks at 10:00 AM.
