St. Xavier is 6-1 against Talawanda since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bombers will square off against the Brave at 5:00 p.m. St. Xavier will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

St. Xavier's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Harrison as they made off with a 6-0 victory. Considering the Bombers have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Batavia hit Talawanda with a four-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Brave came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 9-3. The Brave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mason Merz made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Hainline, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

St. Xavier's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Talawanda, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-22.

St. Xavier got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Talawanda by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bombers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
