Soccer Game Preview: Ridge vs. Sparta

The Ridge Red Devil will head out on the road to take on the Sparta Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sparta took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Ridge, who comes in off a win.

Ridge's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They won by a goal and slipped past North Hunterdon 1-0. The victory continues a trend for Ridge in their matchups with North Hunterdon: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Sparta didn't have quite enough to beat Mount Olive on Wednesday and fell 4-3. While losing is never fun, Sparta can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Mount Olive are ranked 58th).

Ridge's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Sparta, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
