Football Recap: Lauryn Louis and Angelica Otereo Lead the Defense for Faith Christian Win

Faith Christian played in-conference for the first time on Friday and they got just the result they were looking for. They strolled past the Lake Mary Prep Griffins with points to spare, taking the game 24-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Faith Christian can attribute much of their success to Victoriah Alvarado, who threw for 136 yards and three touchdowns. Alvarado's passing game has become a key predictor of Faith Christian's success: the team is 2-1 when her passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise.

Faith Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 6-0 victory against Orangewood Christian on the 11th. As for Lake Mary Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Faith Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Faith Christian's defense has only allowed 13.7 points per game this season, so Lake Mary Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them.
