Basketball Recap: Foxfire Victorious

Foxfire won the last time they faced Columbus Torah Academy and Nazir Smith did his part to make sure it happened again. The Phoenix snuck past the Lions with a 58-53 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Smith, who posted 31 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Foxfire's points.

Foxfire's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Columbus Torah Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Foxfire will face off against rival Oakstone Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Columbus Torah Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Ohio School for the Deaf at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
