Basketball Recap: Yates Center Comes Up Short

Yates Center lost against Eureka back in February of 2015 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Yates Center Wildcats fell 49-38 to the Eureka Tornadoes.

Eureka found their leader in sophomore Tyson Coon, who posted 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Ptacek, who had ten points.

Yates Center now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Eureka, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Yates Center didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 83-42 defeat against Neodesha on the 13th. As for Eureka, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-23 loss against Olpe on the 13th.
