Softball Recap: Hamilton County Comes Up Short

Hamilton County lost against Dixie County back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hamilton County Trojans came up short against the Dixie County Bears, falling 14-2. The Trojans' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Hamilton County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Destini Cherry, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Hamilton County's record now sits at 3-8. As for Dixie County, the victory snapped their losing streak at nine games and leaves them with a 2-9 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hamilton County will venture away from home to square off against ED White at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hamilton County has given up an average of 12.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Dixie County, they will head out on the road to face off against Bell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
