Baseball Recap: Emery/Weiner Takes a Loss

Emery/Weiner suffered their closest loss since April 11, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bay Area Christian Broncos by a score of 4-2. If Emery/Weiner was looking for revenge after losing 8-6 to Bay Area Christian when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Benjamin Lepow was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Emery/Weiner saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Kalmin, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Emery/Weiner's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Bay Area Christian, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 12-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Bay Area Christian beat Emery/Weiner by a score of 8-1 on Friday.
