Flandreau had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Howard on Saturday. The Fliers put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 20-8 victory. Considering the Fliers have won 13 matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Flandreau has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Howard, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Looking ahead, Flandreau will welcome Gayville-Volin on Tuesday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Fliers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Howard, they have already played their next contest, a 12-9 victory against Baltic on the 24th.
