Wellesley won the last time they faced Natick and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Raiders walked away with a 7-3 win over the Redhawks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.
Abby Brown made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Izzy Yim was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Brooke Davies, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.
Wellesley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Wellesley's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Natick, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Wellesley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Natick, they will be playing at home against Lincoln-Sudbury at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
