Volleyball Recap: Kaneland Knights vs. Richmond-Burton Rockets
Kaneland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Richmond-Burton Rockets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Richmond-Burton scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17.
Kaneland's loss dropped their record down to 21-11. As for Richmond-Burton, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 32-1.
Kaneland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Morris on the 22nd. Richmond-Burton has also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Marengo on the 21st.
