Volleyball Game Preview: Kamiah Kubs vs. Troy Trojans

Kamiah hasn't had much luck against Troy recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Kubs will square off against the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Kamiah comes in on four and Troy on ten.

Kamiah will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating Potlatch, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Kubs put the hurt on the Loggers with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Kubs have posted against the Loggers since October 5, 2023.

Kamiah's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emma Krogh led the charge by getting 16 kills, eight digs, and two aces. Krogh is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Audrey Puckett was another key player, getting nine digs, six kills, four blocks, and two aces.

Meanwhile, Troy was able to grind out a solid win over Lapwai on Monday, taking the game 3-1.

Troy's victory bumped their record up to 26-3. As for Kamiah, their win bumped their record up to 19-8.

Kamiah suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Troy in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Kubs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
