Basketball Game Preview: Atlantic Sharks vs. Halifax Academy Knights

The Atlantic Sharks will take on the Halifax Academy Knights in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Atlantic is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Atlantic came up short against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind, falling 62-38. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while the Dragons are ranked 73rd).

Meanwhile, Halifax Academy had to suffer through a 52-13 loss at the hands of Florida School for the Deaf & Blind. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-8.

Atlantic's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Halifax Academy, they now have a losing record at 0-1.

Everything came up roses for Atlantic against Halifax Academy when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 51-24 win. Will Atlantic repeat their success, or does Halifax Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
