O'Connor had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They took down the Harlan Hawks 66-51. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Hawks back in December of 2024, they had to take a 83-70 defeat.

O'Connor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hagen Hurst led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. Hurst's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Evan Herrera was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 assists.

O'Connor smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in eight consecutive contests.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josiah Jones, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Kameron Williams, who had ten points.

O'Connor pushed their record up to 16-10 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Harlan, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-10.

O'Connor wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 82-33 defeat against Brennan on the 25th. Harlan has also already played their next matchup, a 92-57 victory against Marshall on the 25th.
