Softball Recap: Douglas Takes a Loss

Douglas and Bishop Manogue squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Douglas had to settle for second. They came up short against the Miners, falling 9-3. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Miners earlier this season, when they won 14-4.

Douglas saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Coats, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 23-10. As for Bishop Manogue, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-10-1 record this season.

Douglas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Manogue, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-8 loss against Spanish Springs on the 9th.
