Softball Recap: Catholic Central Comes Up Short

If Catholic Central was feeling good fresh off their 15-5 takedown of Valley on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders lost 12-2 to the David Anderson Blue Devils on Thursday. The Crusaders have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Catholic Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Lathem, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Catholic Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for David Anderson, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

Looking ahead, Catholic Central will take on Wellsville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for David Anderson, they will square off against Heartland Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
