Basketball Recap: Rachel Neumiller Key Part of Team Effort in Hornets Win

Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon won the last time they faced St. John and things went their way on Monday too. The Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon Hornets walked away with a 50-42 win over the St. John Woodchucks.

Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rachel Neumiller out in front who went 6-for-13 on her way to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Braylee Keller, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Despite the loss, St. John still got an impressive performance from Kennley Davis, who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine boards. That was a full 54.8% of St. John's points, marking the third time in a row Davis has posted more than a third of the team's points. Ava Delorme was another key player, putting up seven points along with eight rebounds and six steals.

Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for St. John, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 60-30 loss against Westhope/Newburg on the 11th. As for St. John, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-42 defeat against Harvey on the 3rd.
