Volleyball Recap: Eastern Warriors vs. West Union Dragons

Eastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss. They came up short against the West Union Dragons, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Bently Burns paced Eastern's offense, picking up five kills. Burns got some help from Josey Davis and her 11 assists. Raylee Brummett controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 1-21. As for West Union, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-14 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Eastern will head out to square off against Wellston at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West Union, after both having extra time off, they and Alexander will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
