Softball Recap: Homedale Comes Up Short

Homedale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-3 to the Cole Valley Christian Chargers. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly ten runs.

Emily Taylor made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Hadlee Brown also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Homedale's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Cole Valley Christian, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

While Homedale had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
