Soccer Game Preview: Manchester vs. Monacan

Manchester is 0-9-1 against Monacan since April of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Lancers will square off against the Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. Manchester will come into the match with an undefeated record on the line.

Manchester will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Clover Hill, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Lancers were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Cavaliers on Tuesday. Fans of Manchester have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

Meanwhile, Monacan fell victim to Midlothian and their airtight defense two weeks ago. They lost 5-0 to the Trojans. Monacan haven't had much luck with Midlothian recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Manchester pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those three contests. As for Monacan, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
