Softball Recap: Cedar Falls Beats Waterloo East for Their Seventh Straight Victory

Cedar Falls put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Waterloo East Trojans a 22-0 shutout. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 15-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Cedar Falls pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Waterloo East, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Cedar Falls has already played their next match (against Hempstead), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Waterloo East, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-5 defeat against Ames on the 4th.
