Softball Recap: Smithville Comes Up Short

Smithville fell victim to Amory and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 7-0 to the Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Seminoles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Smithville's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Amory, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11.

Coincidentally, Smithville and Amory will both be playing Potts Camp the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Cardinals at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Seminoles will play them later in the day, at 4:30 p.m.
