Basketball Recap: Chequamegon Comes Up Short

Chequamegon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They took a hard 54-38 fall against the Prentice Buccaneers. While losing is never fun, the Screaming Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 446th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 222nd).

Chequamegon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Prentice, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6.

Chequamegon will challenge Stratford at 5:30 p.m. on February 7th. Prentice has already played their next contest (against Tomahawk), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
