Volleyball Recap: Wilson Warriors vs. Central Wildcats

Wilson lost against Central on September 10th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wilson Warriors fell 3-1 to the Central Wildcats.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-12, 19-25, 25-14.

Wilson's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Margaret Tipper, who had 15 digs, and Percy Carson, who had four digs and three aces.

She wasn't the only good server: Wilson was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. This was only their second loss (out of nine games) when they serve at least ten aces.

Central was led to victory by Maegan Gurley and Anna Neal. Gurley had nine digs, while Neal had seven digs.

Wilson's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 26-13. As for Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 27-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Shoals Christian the next time they take the court. Wilson will head out to face Shoals Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Central will play them later in the day, at 4:30 p.m.
