While Naples's win against Lely wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Golden Eagles had just enough and edged out the Trojans 3-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Golden Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Naples was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (102-97), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 25-16, 15-25, 16-25, 26-24, 15-12.

Naples' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8. As for Lely, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-8 record.

Naples has already played their next match (against Marco Island Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lely, they will challenge Palmetto Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
