Softball Recap: Blazer Comes Up Short

Blazer started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Bullitt East. They fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday.

Blazer has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.67 runs. Bullitt East's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Blazer will take on Bowling Green at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Blazer is facing Bowling Green at the right time seeing as Bowling Green is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Bullitt East, they will square off against Padua Franciscan at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Bullitt East's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
