Baseball Game Preview: Franklin Sabers vs. Muskego Warriors

The Franklin Sabers will face off against the Muskego Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Franklin comes in on seven and Muskego on three.

If Franklin beats Muskego with three runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Sabers beat Greendale on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-2.

Cameron Lund looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Tavin Nass, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That run marked the first that he has scored this season.

Meanwhile, Muskego made easy work of Waukesha West on Thursday and carried off an 8-1 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.

Franklin's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Muskego, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
