Preview: Oxford Hills/Buckfield vs. Edward Little
On Friday Edward Little take on Oxford Hills/Buckfield at 7:00 PM. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
Edward Little gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last week. They put the hurt on Bangor with a sharp 35-6 victory. The Edward Little offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the contest anyway.
Oxford Hills/Buckfield had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They took their game against Lewiston by a conclusive 34-0 score. Oxford Hills/Buckfield was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-0. With both Edward Little and Oxford Hills/Buckfield swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
