Baseball Recap: West Noble Starts off Right with Win over Lakewood Park Christian

West Noble gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Lakewood Park Christian Panthers as they made off with a 12-1 victory. For the Chargers, this counts as revenge for the 12-1 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

Jordan Eash made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over 4.1 innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, McKale Bottles was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs. Trey Shisler was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

West Noble always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .640. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lakewood Park Christian only posted an OBP of .350.

Lakewood Park Christian dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

West Noble has already played their next game, an 11-1 loss against NorthWood on the 14th. As for Lakewood Park Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 20-0 defeat against Lakeland on the 11th.
