Football Recap: Calvert Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three games, Calvert finally came back down to earth on Friday. They took a blow against the Oakwood Panthers, falling 61-0. The shutout was out of character for the Trojans seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Calvert's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Oakwood, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Calvert will square off against Buckholts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans are facing the Badgers at the right time seeing as the Badgers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Oakwood, they will host Mount Calm at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oakwood will be up against Mount Calm's rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.67 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
