Volleyball Recap: St. John's Takes a Loss

St. John was the 3-2 winner over Newton South when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pioneers fell 3-1 to the Lions on Monday. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. John's started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-18.

St. John's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Newton South, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

St. John's has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Xaverian Brothers on the 8th. Newton South has also already played their next matchup (against Westford Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
