            Softball Recap: Ida Bluestreaks vs. Flat Rock Rams        
        
		
        
        
            Ida had lost four straight on the road dating back to last season, but  on Saturday they dropped their record down to 2-3 to make it five. They fell  8-3 to the Flat Rock Rams. That's two games in a row now that the Bluestreaks have lost by  exactly five  runs.
 Ida saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Emily Lambert, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run. Lambert also  brought in an  RBI, marking her first of the season.
As for Flat Rock, their record now sits at 3-5. The  victory continues a trend for them in their matchups with Ida: they've now won four in a row.
On Flat Rock's side,  Emma Neace made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   six  hits. Neace has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  stolen base and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Sarah Giroux, who  fired off two  home runs, three  runs,  and three  RBI while going 3-for-4. That's the most  home runs  she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Ashlin Woodman, who  went 2-for-4 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Coming up, Ida will face off against Clinton at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Flat Rock, they will take on Airport at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Jets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4  runs per game  this season, so the Rams' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
