Basketball Game Preview: Carroll Tigers vs. Winterset Huskies

The Carroll Tigers will square off against the Winterset Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Carroll will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Carroll humbled Boone with a 52-19 victory. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Winterset suffered their biggest defeat since December 9, 2024 on Tuesday. They took a blow against North Polk, falling 66-34. The loss continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Comets: they've now lost six in a row.

Winterset's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Carroll, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Carroll beat Winterset 50-37 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Will Carroll repeat their success, or does Winterset have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
