Softball Recap: Bristol Eastern Falls Short of Brookfield in the Playoffs

Bristol Eastern and Brookfield squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Bristol Eastern had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bobcats, falling 9-1. The Lancers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2022.

Bristol Eastern saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Brown, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base.

Bristol Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Brookfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

Bristol Eastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brookfield, they will square off against St. Joseph on Friday. The Cadets will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight.
