Heritage Academy entered their tilt with South Pointe on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They claimed a resounding 66-35 win over the South Pointe Griffins. The Heroes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 31 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, South Pointe saw an underclassman step up: freshman Dasaan Schaeffer posted 22 points. That was a full 62.9% of South Pointe's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zyion Brown, who had eight points.

Heritage Academy pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for South Pointe, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.

Heritage Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against South Pointe: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
