Basketball Recap: Logan's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Logan had lost seven straight headed into Friday's matchup, but Reed Olsen didn't let it get to eight. The Logan Grizzlies enjoyed a cozy 69-51 win over the Mountain Crest Mustangs on Friday thanks in part to Olsen, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 17 boards. He has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more rebounds the last ten times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Milo Steele, who went 7 for 11 en route to 19 points. Those 19 points gave him a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Mountain Crest still got an impressive performance from Parker Andrus, who posted 11 points and five boards. Mason Smith was another key player, putting up five points and seven assists.

Logan's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 5-13. As for Mountain Crest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Logan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-32 loss against Ridgeline on the 29th. Mountain Crest has also already played their next match, a 73-61 defeat against Green Canyon on the 29th.
