Baseball Recap: Grundy County Comes Up Short

Grundy County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 5-2 to the Cannon County Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellowjackets of the 11-10 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Grundy County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Cannon County, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

While Grundy County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
