Basketball Recap: Stanley County Takes a Loss

Stanley County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers and fell 67-25. While losing is never fun, the Buffalos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Tigers are ranked 11th).

Stanley County's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Mobridge-Pollock, their victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2.

Looking ahead, Stanley County and Little Wound will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. As for Mobridge-Pollock, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Winner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Winner will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Mobridge-Pollock surely won't give up without a fight.
