Basketball Recap: Byrd Takes a Loss

Byrd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 33-28 heartbreaker at the hands of the Plain Dealing Lions. While losing is never fun, the Yellow Jackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 1351st, while the Lions are ranked 195th).

Byrd's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Plain Dealing, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-11.

Byrd has already played their next game (against Natchitoches Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Plain Dealing didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-42 loss against Bossier on the 21st.
