            Basketball Recap: Ridgefield Tigers vs. Staples Wreckers        
        
		
        
        
            On Wednesday, Ridgefield faced Staples in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Ridgefield Tigers took  an  81-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Staples Wreckers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  last Monday (62), the Tigers still had to take the loss.
 Staples' win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Mason Tobias, who  went 8-for-10  to rack up 21  points and eight  rebounds. The dominant performance gave  Tobias a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Dhilan Lowman, who  went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc on his way to 20  points and three  steals.
Ridgefield's  defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 15-1 and their overall record down to 17-4. As for Staples, the  win was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-3.
As of now, neither Ridgefield nor Staples have any future games scheduled.
