Softball Recap: Lincoln County Takes a Loss

Lincoln County fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Chapmanville Regional on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Abbie Jeffers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Keirstin Ross was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Lincoln County dropped their record down to 12-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Chapmanville Regional, their record is now 8-5.

Lincoln County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-2 loss against Hoover on the 23rd. As for Chapmanville Regional, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Point Pleasant on the 23rd.
