Softball Recap: Athens Christian Eagles vs. Loganville Christian Academy Lions        
        
		
             Athens Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They came up short against  the Loganville Christian Academy Lions, falling  8-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the  5-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in September.
  Ellianna Christian was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and five unearned) runs off   six  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run, two  RBI,  and a  double.
 Christian wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Blair Carter, who  went 2-for-3 with a  double.
 Athens Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Loganville Christian Academy, the  victory was  the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-13.
 Athens Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Loganville Christian Academy, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Dacula at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
