Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Lutheran Extends Winning Streak to Four

Lincoln Lutheran waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Bergan Catholic Knights by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lincoln Lutheran not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Bergan Catholic between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16.

Lily Wohlgemuth paced Lincoln Lutheran's offense, picking up 11 kills. Wohlgemuth got some help from Bella Sjuts and her 23 assists. Haylee Wiig controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Lincoln Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Bergan Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-3.

Coincidentally, Lincoln Lutheran and Bergan Catholic will both be playing Bishop Neumann the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
