Basketball Preview: Rensselaer Central Bombers vs. Benton Central Bison
Rensselaer Central and the Bison are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Rensselaer Central Bombers will head out on the road to challenge the Benton Central Bison at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Rensselaer Central scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 78-60 victory over Delphi Community. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Benton Central came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Frankfort 60-42.
Rensselaer Central is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Benton Central, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
