Preview: Canadian Wildcats vs. Dalhart Wolves
After two games on the road, Canadian is heading back home. They will take on the Dalhart Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Canadian posted their biggest win yet this season on Tuesday. They blew past River Road 57-26 on the road. Given Canadian's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 400th, while River Road is ranked 1007th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
In what's become a running theme this season, Dalhart gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Tulia 70-29 on the road. Dalhart pushed the score to 53-20 by the end of the third, a deficit Tulia had no chance of recovering from.
Canadian has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Dalhart, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
Canadian couldn't quite finish off Dalhart when the teams last played back in February of 2023 and fell 38-36. Can Canadian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
