Volleyball Recap: Montwood Rams vs. Chapin Huskies
Montwood came tearing into Saturday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Chapin Huskies by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on Tuesday.

Montwood was led to victory by Isabella Meneses and Alessandra Oropeza. Meneses had 17 digs and three aces, while Oropeza had 18 assists and six digs. That's the most assists Oropeza has posted over her last seven games. Mia Mora also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
They weren't the only good server: Montwood was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chapin only served seven aces.
Adrienne Rodriguez and Zoeh Cereceres certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Rodriguez had 11 assists and two aces, while Cereceres had 19 kills and 13 digs. Cereceres is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last 48 games she's played dating back to last season.
Montwood's record is now 7-3. As for Chapin, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-3.
Looking ahead, Montwood will face off against Del Valle at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chapin, they will challenge Eastwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
