Baseball Recap: Collinwood Comes Up Short

Collinwood was the 11-2 winner over Wayne County when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Collinwood's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-10. As for Wayne County, they pushed their record up to 7-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Collinwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wayne County, they will face off against McNairy Central at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
